According to now-defunct DMHotwire.de, the show was being filmed. Also, many friends and family members were present, including Andy Fletcher, Daniel Miller, Neil Tennant from The Pet Shop Boys, and Client. During 'The Love Thieves', Martin's guitar was turned off, and a crew member had to run on stage to turn his guitar on.
